After over three months of being able to make out with Zack without any itchiness, I convinced myself that I wasn’t allergic to him anymore. Nevermind that I’d been taking ALLERGY PILLS for the EXACT AMOUNT OF TIME for which I’ve been able to itchlessly canoodle with him. I somehow managed to convinced myself that the Allergy Pills had nothing to do with it. Sometimes people overcome allergies by regular, incremental exposure to an allergen. Surely, I thought, I had overcome my allergy to Zack–or at least that’s what I must have been thinking when I absentmindedly stopped taking the allergy pills for a couple of days in a row.
Bad News: I’m still allergic to Zack. Also, I’m an idiot.
Good News: The allergy pills really do work. Magical.
