Parting Thoughts

Today I had my maternity clinical mid-term evaluation.  Except, maternity clinicals only lasted for half the semester.  So really, it was my end-of-semester evaluation, but it was just happening at mid-term.  Are you with me? Good.

I walked into my instructor’s office, sat down, talked with her, signed the paper, and was walking out of the office in less than two minutes. My review was great; she said all wonderful things about me.  So I was feeling jazzed up.  The kind of jazzed up that makes me forget what is and isn’t appropriate to say to your nursing instructor, who happens to be the head of the undergraduate nursing department.

“If this were two minutes in heaven,” I practically shouted at her as I was walking out the door, “we wouldn’t have even fulfilled our time requirement!”

Luckily, my nursing instructor has a sense of humor.  She just laughed, and told me to send in the next person. And I was thankful that we’d already signed our paperwork stating my awesomeness, so she couldn’t add anything about me being a totally sexually-inappropriate loose cannon.
